Ajay is a partner at Pear and has a strong background in consumer mobile growth and strategy. He previously founded, ran and sold the Pear funded startup Wedding Party. He is passionate about building great products and product teams and has led teams that built products which scaled to millions of users.
Angelika is Founding Partner and Chief Entrepreneur Evangelist of SV LATAM Fund, which invests in Latin American startups from Silicon Valley, as well as Founding Partner and Chief Entrepreneur Evangelist at ZFunction University. Having moved 34 times, and speaking 5 languages, she leverages her background to help international executives & start-up entrepreneurs find their voice in Silicon Valley in US business communications and pitch presentations.
Bob is the founder and president at Zeidman Consulting. He has ample design experience in hardware and software, and is the author of The Software IP Detective's Handbook along with many technical papers. Bob is also a Stanford alumnus, having earned a Master's in Electrical Engineering in 1982.
CJ is an associate at Technology Crossover Ventures, where he focuses on infrastructure investments. He previously worked at Barclays in the technology investment banking group, with experience in the infrastructure, electronics and internet industries. CJ is a Stanford alumnus, having earned a BS in Management Science and Engineering.
Eyal is managing director of Shaked Ventures, which focuses on early stage Israeli ventures in the online-gaming and mobile ventures. He has invested in a number of startups, including MetaCert, Reactful, and TestFairy. Eyal is also the owner of 888.com, an online gaming provider.
Jane is VP of monetization at Smule, a social music startup. Previously, she was head of Business and Creative Operations at YouTube Originals, the original content program of YouTube's Red subscription service. Jane was also the co-founder of Vuguru, an indepedent digital studio for story-driven videos. She earned her BS (Management Science & Engineering), MA (Sociology), and MBA all from Stanford.
John Lee is a vice president in SVB's Early Stage Banking Team. John builds and manages relationships with strategic partners, including accelerators, incubators, university entrepreneurship programs, and investors such as angels and venture capital firms, driving business development with early stage technology companies. He is happy to advise teams on on fundraising, and, from a sector perspective, can advise enterprise companies best, followed by consumer.
Juan Leung Li
Juan is a senior associate at General Catalyst, where he focuses on early stage startups especially in SaaS, SMBs, marketplaces, commerce, mobile and education. Previously, Juan worked at Javelin Venture Partners, where he focused on series A investments. He also co-founded Ripple Concerts, a crowdfunded concerts marketplace.
Mason is the VP of Engineering Operations for Hybrid Cloud at Yahoo and also the VP of Product Management for Yahoo Search. He oversees all planning, forecasts, and product management for Yahoo's search products. He is also an investor in internet startups with Sand Hill Angels and was previously a product operations director at Oracle.
Paul is an associate at Transmedia Capital, a seed and early stage tech venture firm. Previously, he was an associate at SV Angel. Before joining SV Angel, Paul worked in investment banking for Seven Hills Partners and Goldman Sachs.
Pia is a senior manager at Munchery, where she is responsible for Muchery's food products and business, including R&D, strategic partnerships, and new product launches. Previously, she worked as a project manager for Starbucks, where she focused on product development, production, and marketing for Starbucks' La Boulange bakery brand.
Rose is the founder of VegaLab Ventures, which offers advisory services to growth ventures. Rose is also the market development director of GE Digital. Previously, she worked as Assitant VP for Member Financial Services and Community Development at Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, where she led the team for goal measurements and valuations.
Saqib is a Vice President at Lightspeed Ventures where he helps portfolio companies executing and scaling their business development plan. Previously, Saqib was head of sales and business development for E la carte Inc., which provides electronic dining assistants for restaurants.
Steve is the founder and CEO of GeneYes, a digital health care startup providing AI-driven virtual health/medical assistants. He is also the founder and Chief Medical Officer of MDPrevent, which provides preventative medicine and wellness services. He was previously the founder of HealthDrive, a medical provider for extended care industry.
Tripp is a general partner at August Capital, and focuses on rapid-growth internet and software companies. He has led August's investments in DARA, Bark & Co, CommonBond, Compology, Paperless Post, Rocketmiles, Quandl, and Wattpad. Previously, he was a senior associate at Spectrum Equity Investors, which focuses on businesses in the information economy.
Alan Chiu is a partner at XSeed Capital, with a strong background in enterprise software startups. He also serves as Vice President of Product and Co-Founder at XSeed portfolio company, Listo, a financial services provider focused on the underbanked Hispanic market in the US, where he overseas product strategy and growth initiatives.
Ann serves as an advisor and consultant for a number of startups, focusing on the retail industry. Previously, she worked in executive roles at Instacart, Target, and General Mills. Ann is also an entrepreneur, having recently founded Sprout CoLab, which help connects millennial parents to parenting advice from trusted sources. Ann is a Stanford alumna, having earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Business.
Catherine is a product manager at DataVisor, a fraud detection platform. Previously, she worked in product development at Palantir, where she co-authored three patents. Catherine is also a recent Stanford graduate, having earned a Bachelors in 2014 and Masters in 2015, both in Computer Science. While at Stanford, Catherine co-founded FT Technologies, which was acquired by Palantir.
CJ is a Vice President at Highland Capital. At Highland, CJ focuses on early stage techology startups, and his investments have included AmpleFoods, Bitnet Technologies, and Athelas (a Cardinal Ventures alumni company). CJ also leads the Summer@Highland program, which mentors student-led startups.
Gale’s work with hospital marketing and communications began in 1996 when she founded MEDSEEK and served on its Board until the company's acquisition in 2012. Today she is Principal and Founder at Health Media Syndicate, which leverages the high production value of expertly crafted healthcare public service campaigns and extends their compelling messages of healthy choices and preventative care.
Jeff is a partner at Boost VC, where he leads VR investments and is responsible for deal sourcing for all segments. Jeff also has experience as an entrepreneur - he was a founder of TravelNow.com, which sold to hotels.com, and online travel startups Gusto and EZTrip.
Karanveer (KV) graduated from Stanford with a degree in CS (top 5% of the graduating class). While at Stanford, he worked with Stephen Boyd in convex optimization and taught a PhD level class as an undergrad. He then founded a retail analytics company called Fancy That, which was acquired by Palantir. At Palantir KV led several data science and product efforts, and was responsible for converting a pilot into a successful contract worth tens of millions of dollars. He is currently the founder of Kofa, a self-service analytics startup. He is best able to help teams with product roadmap, feature prioritization, product-market fit, user experience, technical architecture, all things analytics, and raising seed funding.
Linus Liang is a serial entrepreneur with expertise in technology, medical devices, and social enterprises. He most recently co-founded a company called Embrace, a social enterprise that develops and distributes a low-cost infant incubator for developing countries. Prior to Embrace, Linus founded several software companies in the mobile and social networking space — the last one resulting in an acquisition by Zynga. He is currently a senior associate at Signia Venture Partners.
Michael is an associate at Banneker Partners, which makes investments in software, internet and digital media, and business services companies. He is also the VP of product at Pepperjam, an online marketing company. Michael previously co-founded RoomHunt, where he was VP of Engineering.
Paula is an entrepreneur and the managing director of institutional capital at SoFi. She is the co-founder of both YippeeCar and SmoothLane inc/CarParagon, which is developing an online, data-drive platform to aid individuals buying cars. She previously worked as the executive director of credit sales at Morgan Stanley before earning an MBA from Stanford.
Prashant is an associate at CrunchFund, a venture firm focusing on early stage technology companies. Previously, he worked in operations management for McMaster-Carr, where he ran a large warehouse operation. He also invests independently in real estate, debt, and public equities.
Ryan has a diverse business background with experience in start-up, growth, and turnaround companies. His expertise areas include investment management, business strategy, financial modeling/analysis, B2B marketing, and project management. Most recently, Ryan founded PoundWise, a FinTech startup and Cardinal Ventures alumni company. Previously, he had roles in Product Management and Client Services at Wealthminder, another FinTech company, and as a partner in KHP Capital, a private investment firm. Prior to these roles, Ryan was an early-stage employee at two technology start-ups, where he had roles in finance, strategy,
marketing, and service delivery.
Sergey is a general partner at PV Seed Fund and is also Engagement Leader for Data Science Engagements and Shared Services at GE Digital. He was previously the CEO and co-founder of Planor, which provided a customer platform for hardware and IoT companies. Between his work at GE and PV Seed Fund, he's developed particular experience in IoT and industrial manufacturing.
Steve is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sighthound, which develops data analytics software for video using computer vision technology. He previously worked in sales at Sankalp Semiconductor, and was also the Vice President for Business Development and Sales WiTricity, focusing on wireless and consumer products.
Zafer is a partner at 500 Startups, an early stage investor in internet marketing and customer acquisition, design and user experience, and lean startup practices and metrics. Previously, he was co-founder of The Online Project, a Jordanian social media agency, and of Modern Media, a Jordanian media company.
Anarghya is currently a senior associate at Maveron, a consumer-only VC. Previously she helped run Rothenberg Ventures’ frontier tech program, River, and developed a deep expertise in virtual and augmented reality. Anarghya has also worked for several startups as a product manager and held various roles at Google.
Anoushka is a senior associate at Matrix Partners, where she works with early stage companies especially in enterprise software and FinTech. Currently, Anoushka is involved with investments in Lever, Inflection, Taulia and PayRange. Before joning Matrix, Anoushka worked for McKinsey, where she specialized in technology, media and payments, and Goldman Sachs.
Cindy Cheng joined KPCB in 2014 and focuses on investments in the Digital Growth Fund. She previously worked in the Technology Investment Banking practice at Morgan Stanley, where she completed various financing and advisory transactions for growth-stage technology clients, focusing on the consumer internet, social media, and digital gaming industries.
Eric is the founder of UJ Ventures. UJ has made 25 investment in technology startups including Palantir and RoboteX, and focuses on early stage enterprise IT and internet startups. Eric also has experience as an entrepreneur, having co-founded TinyPrints, an online invitation/greeting card startup.
Isaac focuses on early-stage investments in Venrock’s Palo Alto office. Prior to joining Venrock, he built out HR & recruiting analytics for tech companies like Lyft, Thumbtack, Addepar, and others. His work spanned data wrangling, modeling, and visualization. Earlier in 2015, in collaboration with 25+ startups and venture firms, Isaac co-authored The 1099 Workforce Economy Report that shed light on the on-demand/freelancer workforce and was featured in The Wall Street Journal and other publications.
Jennifer is the co-founder of Grit Labs, which partners with entrepreneurs to fund and build hardware. Grit labs invests in seed and early stage startups and also works in scaling their business. Jennifer has also served as an advisor to several startups, and previously worked as co-founder and chief marketing officer of RallyOn, a corporate wellness provider.
Kevin is the co-founder of Maderight, a manufacturing startup in the fashion industry. Maderight serves as an intermediary between over 50 overseas factories and American clothing companies. Before working on Maderight, Kevin was also the founder of ASPECD Apparel.
Manthi Nguyen has over twenty five years of diverse experience in all functions of managing and growing businesses with capital efficiency and operational effectiveness in a wide range of industries: real-time control systems, telecommunications and networking, Internet services, publishing, health and fitness, and manufacturing. She has been involved in a series of early startups that were later acquired by NEC, Cabletron, Tut Systems, Visual Networks, and Cisco. She is now an angel investor and startup mentor.
Natalie works at Silicon Valley Bank, a bank uniquely focused on servicing the innovation economy around the globe, banking over 50% of all VC backed tech and life sciences companies. She weaves between helping manage the company’s strategic relationships with the VC community and serving on a data driven research team that identifies high performing companies and industry trends used for executive decision making and corporate strategy. She graduated Stanford in 2013 with an honors in Urban Studies and minor in International Relations. Upon graduation, she worked for Goldman Sachs assisting entrepreneurs and investors with their personal balance sheets. An SF native, she’s a sucker for overly priced coffee, taco joints, and anything related to Crissy Field.
Peter is the founder and partner of Run8 Patent Group, which helps technology startups develop patents. He previously worked as patent agent for Schox. Between his time at Run8 and Schox, Peter has worked in patents for web platforms, medical devices, cleantech IoT, manufacturing, food, internet security, and consumer electronics, among other industries.
Robert is a Venture Partner at 500 Startups specializing in B2B seed investments. He is a veteran of nine companies. Twice as CEO, and multiple times as CFO, COO, and heads of sales and marketing organizations. He holds a BS, MS in Engineering from Stanford as well as BA & MBA degrees. Robert also teaches martial arts at Stanford.
Santanu is the founder of Basu Labs, which produces high-power lasers, and has previously founded Sparkle Optics Corporation. Before founding Basu Labs, he worked at Boeing as a senior systems engineer in the space-based laser program. He has also worked at IBM Research on ultrafast optoelectronics.
Steve is Vice President at ONSET Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage enterprise software companies. His work has included investments in Adara Media, APX, and Nok Nok Labs. Steve previously worked as director of business development at Microsoft's Emerging Business Team.
Steve is the founder of Itero Labs, a consultancy helping companies work towards strategic growth and digital transformation. He was previously the co-founder and CEO of BlueChilli group, an Australian corporate accelerator. Steve also works as an independent contractor in digital wealth management.
