Cardinal Ventures is a 10-week accelerator program for Stanford students focused on helping entrepreneurs develop their business ideas and source funding. We are student-run and allow our founders to stay in school while they are part of the 10-week session. This fall, we accepted 26 co-founders working on 12 companies. Our founders come from the Graduate School of Business, School of Engineering, d.school, and School of Humanities and Sciences.
Each team in our program receives:
Mentors who are successful entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and investors
Legal resources from WilmerHale
Support from our community of both current and alumni teams, opportunities to attend social events we host
Office hours with investors and practice pitch support
Access to exclusive speaker sessions focused on different components of founding and operating a business
At the end of the program, an opportunity to present their business at Pitch Day, with the winner of either the fall or spring Pitch Day receiving a guaranteed spot in StartX
Founders are expected to spend around 2.5 hours per week attending speaker/workshop sessions, and 20 hours per week total on their business, including working on the business plan and meeting with mentors. We do not take equity, and companies can exit the program with no further commitments with SSE.
